Die NEXT 2013 – ein kleines Résumé
Letzte Woche hatte ich das große Glück, die von SinnerSchrader ausgerichtete NEXT Conference in Berlin zu besuchen.
Es waren zwei wirklich interessante Tage, mit klasse Rednern zu spannenden Themen rund um die digitale Welt.
Meine Highlights der diesjährigen Veranstaltung waren:
- Die Amsterdamer Jungs von PIPS:lab mit ihrer interaktiven Digital Media Performance
- Der sehr unterhaltsame Vortrag von Obama CTO Harper Reed
- Ullis (mehr als enthusiastische) Reaktion darauf, als er Gunnar Lott, den ehemaligen Chefredakteur der Games Star (und noch viel wichtiger – den Macher des legendären Podcasts „Stay Forever„) im Motel One Fahrstuhl erspähte (und dieser auf einmal ganz hektisch den „Türen schließen“ Knopf drückte, bevor Ulli hinterherhechten konnte)
- Meine ersten Erfahrungen mit Google Glasses, die mir Robert Scobel freundlicherweise ausgeliehen hat (mir dann aber wieder umso schneller entrissen hat, als ich einen seiner Buddies mit dem Befehl „Call XYZ“ anrufen wollte)
- …und natürlich die diversen Treffen mit den NEXT Studentenfreikartengewinnern
Hier nochmal mein ganz besonderer Dank an eine der Gewinnerinnen – Indre (Masterstudentin des Studiengangs „Persuasive Communication“ an der University of Amsterdam), die mir im Anschluss der Konferenz noch ein paar Fragen beantwortet hat:
Why did you apply for a free student NEXT ticket?
It is an invaluable learning experience. You meet the digital innovators, get to know the latest tech/digital/marketing trends and most importantly get inspired by the most talented attendees. Besides that, it is a great networking opportunity, chance to get new ideas and get a better insight of the trending topics. Great place for curious minds! I am particularly interested in starting a new journalism project on digital topics, therefore being part of NEXT conference helped me materialize the idea better and talk with the writers and influencers I admire. As an aspiring young professional, you just get to learn and develop in so many different ways.
How did you like it? And what was your highlight?
NEXT Berlin offers a diverse range of topics, big names and yet excellent opportunity to approach everyone and get an instant friendly and elaborate answer. The Organization was simply excellent and the wonderful city of Berlin was just the cherry on the top. Berlin is very happening these days – the perfect location for the NEXT.
My absolute highlight was Harper Reed: Great sense of humour, awesome slides, clear take-aways. Definitely check his talk! And Etsy, Airbnb, Uber people talk on change of the consumerism patterns. More highlights on #next13 could be found @dgtl_brkfst.
